Education Begets Confidence and Confidence Begets Action and....
Consistent actions begets results. I'm one of those people who stays in perpetual learning mode. I feel that one of the greatest barriers to an agent's (or anyone else's) success in lack of knowledge. The sooner new agents realize that learning does not stop after passing the exam, the better chance that they have of succeeding in this business.
NO EXCUSE FOR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE
Education and building knowledge can be tailored to one's learning style. Some people learn better in classroom or seminar settings where they can ask questions and interact with others. Others prefer online or independent study. While others work best with mentors or use forums such as ActiveRain to learn about any and all things real estate.
No matter the learning style, from the very day that a person decides to enter the real estate industry, learning something knew every single day should be a goal and not a dreaded task.
COMPANY TRAINING AVAILABLE
There are many companies that offer training and aligning yourself with one of these companies is an excellent start. However, if all you ever do is train and not implement any of the the lessons taught, then you really haven't learned anything at all. Because the real learning comes with putting a plan in ACTION!
WHERE CONFIDENCE COMES FROM
As you become more knowledgeable and put into action what you have learned, the more confident you will become when working with buyers and sellers. Learning also involves getting to know the needs and motivations of the public that we serve and the public that we would like to serve. By no means is this an easy task, but it is a process and processes take time to mature into the goal to be achieved.
IF YOU HATE HAVING TO STUDY THEN REAL ESTATE NOW!
If you hate studying and school, then real estate may not be for you. If you think that studying ends when you pass the exam, then you are unfortunately sadly mistaken. If you find or make excuses about not have time to learn something new, then real estate may not be for you.
